Derek Parent
Founder & President
Mr. Parent is a long-time Las Vegas resident who established his roots here in the year 2000 from Rhode Island. Derek owns and manages one of the area’s most reputable and successful mortgage firms, USA Mortgage, as well as Movement Fitness, a full-service gym and sports training facility. He is devoted to blending his passion for giving back to the community with his business goal of creating positive experiences for people seeking mortgages and wellness improvements.
Derek assumed the ownership and operation of a local fitness gym in 2020 and renamed it Movement Fitness. He envisioned building it and becoming a wellness center in the community while the profits from Movement Fitness are plowed back into the community through Movement Gives Foundation, a non-profit organization set up by him as a vehicle to deliver positive impacts on the lives of people in the community, especially the underserved populations.
Derek is highly recognized and respected as a successful entrepreneur and community leader. His determination and leadership are what’s driving MGF to march forward since its inception. In 2023 Derek welcomed the first EmployNV Youth Hub located inside Movement Fitness facility. The hub is the first American Job Center hosted in a privately funded business in the nation. He currently serves on the board of Workforce Connections and co-chairs the Programs Committee.
